YOUR BACKGROUND IS NOT AN EXCUSE FIR YOUR BACK TO REMAIN ON THE GROUND.

If you do not like your present background for any reason or where you are in life, then do not let it affect you or determine the outcome of your life. It should be the more reason why your should fight it instead of settle for it. It is easy to give in and allow your present location in life or where you come from determine the way you make your journey and your destination. But you have to learn to put up a fight in this life, a fight against circumstances, a fight against outcomes. If you do not like where you are, then why let it determine your destination and lead your way for you. You should be fighting to make a change and not giving in. Stop telling yourself that your situation is helpless and that because of who you are or how your family is or whatever other excuse you have made up in your head, that you cannot be in a certain place. Life is a constant struggle, an everyday struggle to make the next day a better one. If you do not like where you are right now then your struggle should be to change it.

There are lots of people out there who come from poor homes, abusive backgrounds and all sorts of other roots. But if there is one thing I believe in this life, it's that every single person is capable of making a change. It just depends on if you believe it yourself. You see your beliefs place limits on you in this life. If your belief is that you can never make it out of where you are and that you would always end up somehow living a similar lifestyle to the one that you detest because that is the only way you saw how to live while growing. Or that it just simply is your root, then you would surely end up like that. But if you believe that no matter where you might be coming from or that no matter what the world throws at you, that you alone gets to shape your own life, then you can become whatever you want to be. Negative thoughts give rise to negative outcomes just like limiting beliefs place barriers to the height which you can rise to or above.

In this life we all have a choice and the way our life turns out depends on the decisions we make. The path you take today would determine where and how you might end up.

Just take a look at the world today, you'll see people from different places, families, the projects, the slums and the ghettos. If you walk the streets you would see all kinds of people. People out there grinding and hustling as hard as they can everyday in any way they know to make it out of the lifestyle they were born into. They turn to different trades like, acting, music, art and other crafts. Just for a shot at a better life. Now if you still look again, in fact you wouldn't need to look too hard because this other set dominate the population. Am talking of the set of people that have accepted what they have around them and believe they would never be able to make it out of the system they live in. So they give up and face the life they already know, the only life that they are used to. They turn to robbery, gang banging, murder and other social vices. At the end of the day it always makes them feel better when they turn and point fingers at the government for creating "the system". But if you look closer you will find out that if only they believed a little more like some others, they would have had a better chance. Look at the different big names you have around you, from musicians to Engineers, from actors to Scientists, people of different trades and businesses. If you look very deep into the origin of some of them if not most, you would be shocked at how similar their conditions where to yours today. These people never gave up, they never gave in. They believed and because of that, they are where they are today.

As I have said before, it all depends on what you choose to believe. Do you believe that because you come from an abusive home that you can never raise a happy family? Or that because your dad hits your mum that you would end up hitting your wife so you accept that it's the way your life should be. Or maybe you believe as girl that because your mum didn't exactly make her living through the most respectable means that you would have to result to such things to get to wherever you might be going. Let me tell you now that this life is what you make it to be. You alone have the power to determine how things are going to be for you. You alone have the power to choose the outcome of your life and if you choose change, then you will have change. If you choose a certain life style, you cannot blame it on your background, you would be the one to answer for it. Not the government, not your parents, not your friends, not the system, but you! If it's a good lifestyle then fine you will have your rewards but if it's a lifestyle you wouldn't be proud of then you alone made that decision and the consequences would be yours alone to bear.

But if you are reading this and you believe you have already made a wrong turn at a certain point. Do not have any fear, you still have a choice and you can choose to make another turn right now, to make the right turn this time. So which is it going to be? Are you going to let your background choose your life for you? Or are you going to choose your life for yourself.

I know you are out there reading this right now and you might be fighting this message and telling yourself how our faith is already set for you. How change is for certain people. Well I want you to know that it's okay to give into this message, it's okay to let go and make a good change. This is your life, you get only one shot in this life. We aren't sure if there is an after life, so make sure you make the best of this one. Make the right decision towards change!

WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT THIS GUY, "BORIS KODJOE

Today I want to share something about someone most of us know from
what we have seen on our screens, from the movies and the
adverts he has starred in. Boris Kodjoe is a talented actor that
has appeared in many different movies but we would mostly
remember him from the 2000 movie titled "Love and
Basketball". I'm sure most of you have seen that movie. A real
classic and for some reason I can't even believe that it's as
recent as 15 years ago.
What we didn't know was what he was doing before he got to
acting and modelling.
You see before he got to be know for modelling, starring in tyler
perry movies, Kevin Hart's "Real Husbands of Hollywood",
addicted and many more roles he has played in movies and T.V
series, Boris was one heck of a sportsman. Yeap...how do you
think he got the edge on keeping that good looking body.
This man right here was one of the best in his country in
Tennis and it won him a scholarship to Virginia Commonwealth
University. However everything came crashing down when he
suffered a terrible injury to the back and was told by doctors
that he couldn't carry on playing the game. He had to quit the
game he loved and was so good at. Although he still plays it but
not professionally and a little more lightly to avoid any further
injuries. When the news that he couldn't play the game anymore
came to him, he sank into depression for a while but evidently
that didn't last forever.
Today he is a big name in Hollywood and is popular as a model
and an actor. He didn't know his luck was coming when he went
to visit his sister in New York. He first started with the modelling
and furthered his career into acting when he appeared in the
movie "Love and Basketball.
I think Boris's life is an inspiration and a message to all of us. A
message to everyone hustling to make it out there to not worry.
His life literally says "Be patient, everything will be okay". I
have to say I totally agree with him. You see, things might not
be working out the way you have planned them. Your life might
not be steering you towards the direction you want but do not
beat yourself up. Sometimes you just have to sit back, let life
take the wheel, find out where it leads you then take the lead
from there. When things are going the other way do not let that
depression take over you. That mind state is dangerous and
could lead you to dangerous decisions. Learn to wait it out.
That contract that you missed, that job you got fired from or any
kind of disappointment that you are experiencing doesn't spell
the end of the road for you. Instead look at it as an opportunity
to explore another path. If you are working hard towards one
direction and it's almost as if everything you are doing is
pushing you away from that path then you might want to think
of looking at another path. It doesn't mean giving up, it means
taking correction and embracing your destiny. You never know,
you might make it more in this new path than you would have
ever made it in the one you planned for yourself. So learn to let
go, try something new, panic less and most of all..."Be patient".
Train yourself to be patient enough to wait for your opportunity
but observant enough to grab it before it passes you
by...Success is yours!
Do have a fulfilled week.

HEALTHY LIVING

We all know that eating the adequate amount of food
depending on your weight is one of the major ways to maintain
a healthy lifestyle. The role of food in our everyday life can
never be over emphasized. But did you know that eating at a
particular time could also be going against your efforts? For
example eating too late in the morning would take you into
starvation mode and eating late at night causes weight
increase. Well let's see what the best time to eat is.
Breakfast: After your body goes 7 hours or more through the
night without having anything to feed it. It starts to search for
food not long after you wake up. Breakfast as we know is the
most important meal of the day. So the best time to eat food
according to your personal time is about 30 mins after you
wake up. If you follow a regular routine you would sleep by 9 or
10 P.M and be awake around 6 or 6:30. Then you can eat
around 7:00 A.M. Make sure you eat before it's 8:00 A.M.
Don't forget to take a glass of water immediately after you
wake up. So that means the fridge beside your bed should be
packed with bottles of water and fruits not chocolate and cake.
Remember eating too late would cause your body to go into
starvation mode and hold onto anything, then preserve it for
later in case you decide not to eat later. It's a self defense
mechanism by our body. If you eat, your body will burn what it
has. Also eat more protein during breakfast, they burn out
quicker.
Lunch: After your breakfast you are going to kickoff the day
either slowly or with full force depending on what your routine is
and what the day has to offer. So in a couple of hours, say 5
hours your food tank would be almost depleted. You would have
to restock. According to research, the best time to restock on
food would be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M. During this time
you might want to introduce some carbohydrates to your plate,
they would help carry you through the mid-day which is mostly
the most hectic.
Dinner: If you work a regular job that is partially but physically
engaging, your food would run out faster that those who are
mentally engaged. Don't get me wrong, both would still end up
very hungry. The night food is really tricky because you don't
want to eat close to bed time and most times we are tempted to
want to make it to our house first. Our reason being that food
time should be uninterrupted by 'horrible bosses' sending you
on an errand or the other. Eating too late is dangerous for your
weight goal because at night your body burns less calories
(food). You want to eat early enough to give your body time to
digest the food and not eat too much. So eat more proteins and
vegetable from 5:30 but not later than 7:30.
Extra Tip: I know it isn't easy but try to keep a regular eating
time everyday and you will see changes. Also get adequate rest
at night and take a nap if chanced in between the day to keep
you alert. Also if you can buy a pack of Caseine protein, it would
help your body through the night with it's slow food release. A
glass can take you through the night and it promotes healthy
sleep and weight loss.
Note: I mentioned Proteins, Carbohydrates and Vegetables only.
This doesn't mean that you shouldn't eat other classes of food.
Make sure you balance out the classes of food through your 3
meals.
Happy Healthy Living..

THANK YOU LORD

I just woke up thinking of something that happened yesterday and I feel I owe God thanks. Yesterday morning at Rave TV Head Quarters and transmitting house at Ilupeju Lagos, I walked in like every normal person visiting an office for the first time only to be welcomed to a standing ovation and snapshots by administrative staffs of the station. I went to the receptionist and asked to see Mrs. Foluke the person incharge of programmes and she said hey, you look familiar just that moment two staffs came down the staircase and one of them said yeah, I know you. You're a comedian right? And the other guy said no. You're Steve the presenter of " MATHS MADE EASY with Uncle Steve" and they all went - yeah, that's true and a few others joined and just then I realised that I have been an O.A.P. (On Air Personality) for over 7 months now. As if that was not enough I was at Stambic IBTC Bank Alen Avenue to do some transactions and this two women walked up to me and one of them said, "Hey I know you, you're uncle Steve of maths made easy on Rave TV channel 125 on Startimes right? " I was like yes ma'm and the other one went our kids don't miss your programme every Thursday 4-4:30 pm. We like the way you simplify mathematics for our kids. God will bless you. I feel really unworthy of all the emium I got yesterday because I have not given thanks to the one who had it be. The Author and finisher of my Faith. Probably because I was aiming to start big at hosting remarkable events like, who wants to be a millionaire ; Idols Nigeria and a whole lot of those reality shows. Forgetting that what I do today is a life dream of many which might never come through for them. Today I stand to say thank you Lord for bringing me this far and for the higher heights you're taking me to. Thanks to my Able Director, Andy Nwakalor for believing in me and my colleague, Rejoice Joseph for the moral support and to all staffs and trainees of Auxi-serv media Ltd Jos, Leo our animator, Ubuka Chukwuka and Morris my camera assistants, ThankGod, Nelson and Sunny G editing trainees, I say thank you all for being the best production crew ever. "Only we na stars" We're going International and there's no stopping we. Love you plenty.

SOMETHING TO BE THANKFUL FOR.

"I don't think you should spend your life praying for things, but I do believe you should thank God for what He's given you..." - Joel Osteen

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, then you are richer than 75% of this world. If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, friend you are ahead of 500 million people in the world. If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death you are more blessed than three billion people in the world. If your parents are still alive and still married, you are very rare, even in the world. If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not. If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer a healing touch. If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

It was Mary J. Blige who said, "You can't get around pain and opposition, but you can try to be joyful in the trial ... and thank God for the strength to get through it. Really, having gone through so much turmoil and pain as most of us have, the biggest temptation is to find nothing to be grateful for. It's abnormal to live on earth and not be overwhelmed by challenges.

Beloved, I'm aware that you desire to all the great, expensive and classy things in life. Do you take out time to ponder on the free, important and great gifts you've been blessed with? I'm sure you can remember classmates whom till this day can't read or write but you can. Or, friends who've been imprisoned for years now without bail, but you walk freely unhindered. What about those who lie in the hospital beds, their greatest prayer isn't food or luxury but good health, yet you have the ability to eat and are blessed with good health. It might not be much, but it sure is amazing what you have: but for God, do you know you won't survive any trial? Be thankful today.

RESPECT!

"Respect for ourselves guides our morals, respect for others guides our manners." - Laurence Sterne

I will always remember this one girl that was in my class in College. (Grace Odonye) She was very quiet, didn't back-talk anyone, always greeted the staff at our school, never interrupted the teachers like other children in the school. My friends thought she was just weird, but I watched her for a while and she was always so polite. I finally had the guts to ask her why she wasn't like the rest of us,"If you ever want to be respected in life, you'll have to respect others and by others I mean not just your friends. Everyone." it paid off for her as she later became our Head Girl.

Respect is appreciating people’s differences, not making them feel uncomfortable. Respect is an important way of being kind and good to other people, it means not making fun of them. Respect puts into consideration how people feel, and treating them the way you’d want to be treated yourself! It’s important to give respect to everyone. Do you think it would feel good if someone made fun of you in public for your differing ideas? No way! Everyone deserves your respect. It is reciprocal! We have a responsibility to be the best we can be in all situations, even when dealing with unpleasant people. The Golden Rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you - nicely illustrates the Pillar of Respect. It reflects notions such as civility, courtesy, decency, dignity, tolerance and acceptance!
God created all people, and created them differently for reasons and purposes we may not understand. Regardless of how we perceive them to be, they are God's creations, and it is God's will for us to show respect to everyone. A general attitude of respect also accepts the dignity of others, even when their ideas or values are different from ours.
Always remember to treat others as you would want them to treat you.

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY.

"You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of." - Jim Rohn

If you want more control over your life all you have to do is be responsible - be accountable for others. Stop transferring blame. Do what you are supposed to do, and be accountable for your words, actions, and attitudes. The line between childhood and adulthood is crossed when we move from saying, "It got lost" to "I lost it." Indeed, being accountable - and understanding and accepting the role our choices play in the things that happen - are crucial signs of all forms of maturity. That's why responsibility is one of the main pillars of good character. It's obvious that, responsibility requires us to do things - some of which might be unpleasant. It asks us to carry our own weight, and sometimes the weight of others. It's interesting to note that, the benefits of accepting responsibility far outweighs the refusal to do so. No one can make their lives better by avoiding responsibility. Responsible people show others, by their actions, that they can be depended on and this breeds trust: trust is a key that sure unlocks many doors.
Being responsible or learning to take responsibility is a requirement for advancement in any direction or dimension: physically, or spiritually, even financially. If you've been a child all your life, it's time to grow up and take responsibility. Remember, Responsibility is your " RESPONSE  to your ABILITY "

EMBRACE CHANGE!

Take a chance at change

Life seems so easy and with less hassle when viewed from your comfort zone. The temptation to just remain there and not make any changes is so inviting that many people settle with that. Now I want to say that there is nothing wrong with mediocrity or being comfortable where you are, I believe it's absolutely fine as long as you do not wish to move any further in life. But if you want to take any step forward in life from the position you are in then you will have to make some changes to your general life. Sometimes the changes required are so massive that when viewed through our minds eye, we almost give up on it. I want to tell you today that it is okay to take a chance at change.

If you plan on moving forward from the way things are for you right now, be it your status in the society, your goals or any other thing then you will have to start considering taking the risk of making a change. Yes it is risky because everything seems to be settled and already in order from your comfort zone and you don't know if you will loose everything if you leave your comfort zone to chase your dreams. But then again, you will never grow if you remain where you are. You will have to take that risk at a chance. Nothing great was ever achieved without some effort and change. So if you plan on moving forward then you have to get up and out of your comfort zone. If you want to be more comfortable in the future then you have to get uncomfortable for a while.

Believe me it is better that you try and fail than to sit and wonder what would have been. Regret from chances that you didn't take is one of the worst feelings. This life is yours, the world is yours to explore. Explore your possibilities and chances. Make a change and take a chance today. Get up from your comfort zone and go achieve greatness. You have to chase achievements, they won't come to you. So think of what you really want and go get it.

Good morning Fam!

THE TRUE JACKIE CHAN STORY.

Not every celebrities are born with talents or even money. Even most celebrities are born with nothing when they were still young. They live in a normal life back when they were kids and managed to be a super star when they grew older. And why is that? How did they do it? Because they all have their dreams and they work hard for it. One of the inspiring celebrities who work a very hard way to get himself on top is Jackie Chan.

Jackie Chan’s parents could not afford to take care of him when he was a baby. They considered of selling him for US $26 to the english obstetrician who delivered him. At the age of 7, Jackie was apprenticed at the infamous Academy of Chinese Opera. For more than 10 years from 5am till midnight, 7 days a week, he endured a brutal program of music, dance and traditional martial arts training.

The training was particularly harsh and cruel. The students was beaten and starved for not performing. Later he appeared in an early Hong Kong films as a stunt man and worked his way up to stunt coordinator, then to director. When Bruce Lee died, Jackie, along with many others were picked to filled of being the bruce lee of their generation. Jackie failed miserably.

It was very hard for him and instead of trying to be Bruce Lee, he decided to be himself. Jackie was born to be “steve” who was later changed to Jack Chan. Later, Raymond chow, a director changed it to “Jackie Chan”. His first break came in 197 with the movie “Snake In Eagles shadow”. Today, jackie is hong kongs biggest movie star and is currently making big in US too. Jackie’s fees are up to US$50 million a year.

If you have a goal in your life, no matter what it is, even if it is impossible. If you work hard for it and create your own name, then you will be successful someday.

Don’t give up your dreams, if it doesn’t work out for you, then its up for you to decide what you really want to be. Make a choice and make it possible.
There is no such thing as impossible if you work hard for it, all it takes is your hopes and faith to make it come true.

SEE HOW THEY MARKED THEIR BIRTHDAY IN A GRAND STYLE.

Last week Saturday 14th March to be precise. My friend Olabode Williams Afolabi marked his birthday in a grand style. By grand style I don't mean lots of wines to drink, partying or paparazzi.
We started off the day by 10a.m by going to one of the Medical Centers in a satellite town close to Abuja where he ministered Christ to an HIV AIDS patient who have been abandoned with the son in the hospital there and afterwards he paid a part of their Hospital bill and left them with something to keep her going. He also went back the following Monday to do same to another patient.
We left the hospital for Karu Home for the less privileged where we celebrated with the kids in the home showering them with all manner of gifts ranging from food stuffs to toiletries and even a football. We sang melodiously with them then one of the young boys in the home prayed for him prophetically.
Later that same day I saw on the Facebook page of another wonderful sister Bisola or "Sister B" as we usually call her, she did same in company of other friends. Marked her Birthday with kids in an orphanage showering them with lots of gifts.
What a way to mark ones birthday. Reaching out and touching the lives of the less privileged.
I pray for this two of a kind, May celebrations never seize in your lives in Jesus name.

NOTHING LAST FOREVER

" When you're close to tears remember, one day, it will all be over, one day we're gonna get so high" - by Light house family from the song "High".
As the days pass away one after the other, we encounter different situations that put us in different emotional moods. We have to learn to hope for a better tomorrow and keep in our mind that nothing lasts forever. Change is constant and it's something we have to learn to accept in every area of our life

No matter what you are going through right now, I need you to try and hold on. The rain never lasts forever, it's a general rule of life for all things that have a beginning to have an end. So whatever it is you are passing through right now,I need you to be rest assured that it's going to blow over before you know it. I know when you are going through hard time, a second can seem like an eternity and it's not long before you start feeling like the torment would never end. Somehow it just seems time slows down for you and you just can't wait for each day to pass by. I need you to be strong at this point, you definitely haven't reached your breaking point. I know this because I know
you are built tough and built to last.
The bad part of this fact is that even the good parts don't last forever when they come, its only a matter of time before another wave of issues show up. So what do we do? We dwell on the good and make the best of it when it's around then prepare for the bad. I won't lie to you and tell you right now that you will never encounter issues in your life again. I don't believe it's true. So I just believe you need to be prepared for the bad and keep in mind that it won't last forever either.
So be it a financial crisis, heart break, betrayal, relationship issues, family problems, health and physical issues. No matter the situation be it Good, bad or Ugly, I need you to know that it's going to pass before you know it. And when it seems like you are at your breaking point, remember you are built tough. You are built tough and flexible, so you only bend, you don't break! You will be fine, The storm will pass, Nothing lasts forever..

CORRUPTED PASSION OR DREAM.

Once you find something you love doing, hold on to it and keep doing it, never let it go and never let your love for it die down. The pleasure in turning something you love into a career is not easily described but it does feel very good. Especially when people around you appreciate it for what it is. You find a sense of fulfillment through it.

We have heard the above mentioned advice over and over again but the truth that people hardly mention or recognize is this. The flame of that passion can still burn low or even die out completely. It all depends on how you handle it and how much you attach to it.

Picture waking up everyday and going out to do that thing you say you love doing so much. Let's say for example that your passion is singing and you just started your career as a singer. You release your first solo and it's a major hit. It's a big hit regardless of the fact that you did it purely out of love for music and you made the kind of music you love making. Somehow people seemed to like it and it feels really good to know that. Your second solo is another hit and before you know it you are receiving endorsements and different offers and contracts. The money is rolling in and it just seems like you cannot be stopped at that point, everything seems to be working out. You release your first album and regardless of what critics say, you prove them and your enemies wrong, it's a platinum hit and you are balling. You are making music that you love making, touching people with your lyrics and you just can't imagine a better life.

Alright, now a while after your first album you are back in the studio. You are recording a new solo and after a while it's completed and released to the public. It's not much of a success like the first ones but you decide to give it another shot, the second one is also a miss. You compile and release your second album regardless and it's a big disappointment in the market. From there it's a nose dive and the money is coming in but not as much as it used to. Frustration begins to set it and you get desperate. What happens next, you start looking to "give the crowd what they want". But you also forget that there is a reason why you got into this in the first place and that your first success was purely out of luck. You have already let the fame and fortune corrupt your love for music and from there you change your pattern. You start making music to please the crowd, but let me tell you what's most likely to happen. Since you aren't exactly good at making the kind of music that everyone likes, the other artists that are good at doing just that, make more wave than you and you are left at the bottom of the fame train. At the same time you loose your few true fans who truly related to the message you sent in the lyrics of your first song or those who really understood your music the way you wanted it to be understood. You loose out on both side.

Now I'm using music as an example maybe because am a music person myself but try to envision yourself in this situation, just put yourself in this shoe. Picture whatever you love doing and substitute it with the music that I mentioned. Be it football, medicine, engineering, film making,  art or any other thing you love. Done? Alright let's keep going...

So how do you keep your cool, stop yourself from getting frustrated and keep the flame of your passion burning? It's easy, do not let any other thing corrupt your reason for doing what you do. Always, I repeat, ALWAYS, remember the first and original joy you got from doing what you loved initially. Remember that you didn't care if it touched only two or three people out there. But that as long as a few people liked and appreciated it for the right reason, you were satisfied. Remember the reason you do what you do.
Do not let the original success or the monetary gains of previous projects corrupt something you love. Your previous endeavors, though done purely out of true love for your passion, they got you somewhere, they gave you fame and fortune, yes. But never forget that it was just out of luck and that it might have been a one time thing.  If you allow yourself to give into frustration, there is a chance that you would contemplate following the path every other person takes to make a big name for themselves and of cos gather riches. You then stand the risk of losing out on two ends. Think about it, there is a reason you do what you do. And the reason why you do it as well as you do. is because of your pure love for it. Now if you allow that pressure to push you to do what others do, you might not be able to do it as well as they do it. Therefore you stand the risk of losing out on the joy and love of doing what you love doing and also losing out on what other are doing.

How to balance this out? We already have artists that know how to do this and practice it everyday. Not just to the artists and upcoming artist, I am talking to anyone out there with something they truly love. Learn to blend it, give them what they want but still and always maintain your love for what you do. That way, when things don't work out very well at a point, you aren't driven to corrupt your passion because of desperation

Even if it's a few people that understand what you do, do it for the best reason know to you. If you need the fame and fortune desperately then look for another means
to acquire that. But for your own good, to keep your sanity and still have something pure and genuine to fall back to in this world. For those days when you just want to get away from the madness that the world put you through everyday. Never let your true passion get corrupted, never let the flame of that passion die.

Now all I can hope for is that one celebrith will just see this and be inspired then tweet with my web link. Chai! Heartrendings.blogspot.com will be everywhere.  No wahala sha, Hope dey!. 2015 must not pass us. Lol

THE PRESENCE OF GOD DOES NOT MEAN THE ABSENCE OF TRIALS

A beloved friend
recently told me how hard life has been. He cried and questioned if God ever cares.

I told him that the difficulties he is experiencing is the evidence that God is involved in his life. That shocked him but I explained:

"If everything was moving on so well without impediment, then it could be a signal that you're like a chicken that is being over fed for the day of slaughter. But the involvement of God in a life is like checks and road blocks to deter you from crashing. It slows you down but it preserves your life and destiny. The people of Israel would have made the trip from Egypt to the promised land in just 11 days if God was not involved...but they would have also been crushed by the enemies even before they arrive the promised land. But when God got involved, the journey took some trying 40 years but at the end, their nation and destiny was preserved."

The young man said "Yes, Yes, that's right sir". And I concluded by asking:

"Have you not realised that majority of the churches, ministries and pastors who have refused to dump God in pursuit of fame and money seem to have a lot of difficulties than those who have abandoned the Caller in pursuit of the calling?" He screamed "That's right!" and then he began to say amidst tears "Thank You Lord for every mountain...thank You for every hill...thank you for every valley...henceforth, I care no more if I am on top of the mountain or in the depth of the valley provided you are there with me...".

Then I realised again that "HIS Presence is truly our Essence...not our circumstances...but only His Presence".

When God is involved, mountains and Valleys look like plain lands.

The presence of God does not mean the absence of trials and difficulties but it is an assurance that it will only end in Praise.

IT IS IN YOU!

Now observe that all I said was that the requirements could be much but I never said impossible. Left for me and you should learn how to start thinking like this, as long as there is a tiny crack of possibility, you should utilize it and forget all the other impossibilities 'as long as your goal is positive'.  A single whisper of yes should echo more than a million screams of no.
Sometimes it seems as though just to move forward, life demands everything that we have. As if it demands every last drop of strength that we can put in. Here is my advice to you. When life demands everything, as long as it doesn't compromise your person then put in your all. Give it your all so that you keep moving forward. The only consequence I see from taking this approach is that you are going to grow even more than before you took the chance.
Keep growing everyday, keep achieving new things everyday, keep succeeding. You have it in you.
"Be open to possibilities A single whisper of 'yes' should echo louder than a million screams of 'No. You've got all it takes, reach for the top and don't settle for anything less.
SEE YOU AT THE TOP!
